Last Tuesday the Martin Luther King Jr. National Monument on the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC was crowded with people excited to see this new tribute. While on vacation last week watching dolphins by the Golden Gate Bridge, my family saw a young man climb onto the top of a pillar and plank while his friends took pictures. They were laughing and gathered around to see the results. I imagined him level with the underside of the Bridge.
